Professor Marlon was born and raised in Miracatu, a small suburb of São Paulo. Started to train in the age of 7 years old with his father and his brother. Growing up in a small city with no high-level Jiu Jitsu, his father decided to open his own school. Around the same time his father started a social project and professor Marlon helped his father to teach and run the project.

Once he finished high school he moved to Santos-SP to train under Rodrigo Cavaca who is a 3X world champion. After a couple years he made plans to move to America and became a professional fighter.

Now his passion is to keep competing and spread the word of the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle to everyone.
